Mammary Physiology and Pathology in Domestic Species

We are happy to present the article collection entitled, "Mammary Physiology and Pathology in Domestic Species", Guest Edited by Dr. Katherine Hughes, University of Cambridge, United Kingdom. This collection is focused on exploring mammary gland physiology and pathology in domestic species, particularly considering advances in understanding of mammary gland biology in these species, application of new techniques and technologies, and novel description or delineation of mammary pathology.

  • Dr. Katherine Hughes

    Kate graduated from the University of Liverpool as a veterinary surgeon with a BVSc awarded with distinction. She then worked as a clinical veterinarian prior to undertaking a Senior Clinical Training Scholarship (residency) in Veterinary Anatomic Pathology at the University of Cambridge,UK and subsequently secured a Wellcome Trust Research Training Fellowship. Kate was awarded the 2012 Royal College of Pathologists gold research medal for trainees. Kate is a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists, a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists, and a Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Specialist in Veterinary Pathology
