Microfluidics and Biotechnology
- Submission status
- Closed
After more than two decades of development, microfluidics represents the technological approach to moderate the life science research, via control and manipulation of the tiny volumes of the fluids at the micron scale. In particular, the approach has proved itself effective in medical diagnostics, food and pharmaceuticals screening for both, fundamental research and clinical studies. Perspective is to use the microfluidics concept to boost the assays in synthetic biology, metabolomics and drug discovery to a new level in terms of precision and time efficiency.
This special issue welcomes both review and original research articles. Manuscripts concerning software and databases are welcome for consideration in the issue, and can also be submitted. Topics include, but are not limited to:
•Micro- millifluidic chips for bio- chemo- analytic purposes
•Detectors in microfluidics
•Applications in ◦Microbiology ◦Cell biology ◦Synthetic biology
â—¦Immunology and onco- immunology â—¦Organ-on-a-chip
Both invited and unsolicited manuscripts will be considered for this special issue.
