Stereotypes and Prejudice in School

This special issue targets the core of Social Psychology of Education, and is dedicated to stereotypes and prejudice in school. We invite all scholars whose research is focused on stereotypes and prejudice toward different student groups to contribute to this issue. Reviews as well as empirical, quantitative and qualitative, studies are welcomed and manuscripts should be concerned with one of, but not restricted to, the following topics:

- stereotypes and prejudices about different student groups (e.g., gender, ethnicity, religion, special education needs), their causes and their broader effects on teachers, teaching, and students.

- stereotype threats and factors fostering or alleviating this effect.

- social exclusion of stigmatized or stereotyped student groups.

- interventions to reduce stereotypes and prejudice in school.

We invite you to submit your full papers until the 31st of October 2022 through the Submission Platform of the journal. Please indicate in the Editorial Manager system whether your manuscript should be considered for the special issue.

Planned publication date: Summer 2023

We are looking forward to receiving your interesting contributions.
