Drug formulation and delivery: a UK and Ireland perspective

The United Kingdom and Ireland Controlled Release Society (UKICRS, a local chapter of the Controlled Release Society, CRS), in partnership with Drug Delivery and Translational Research (DDTR, an Official Journal of the Controlled Release Society), is inviting researchers in the UK and Ireland to contribute full-length research papers or review articles to a special edition of DDTR.

The special issue, entitled ‘Drug formulation and delivery: a UK and Ireland perspective’, is intended to highlight the breadth and quality of drug delivery research on the islands of UK and Ireland. Please note that the corresponding author must be a researcher (PhD, postdoctoral, academic or industrial) based in either the UK or Ireland.

DDTR publishes articles broadly focused on the design and development of novel drug delivery systems, with a focus on their application to disease conditions; preclinical and clinical data related to drug delivery systems; short-term and long-term biocompatibility of drug delivery systems, host response; biomaterials with growth factors for stem-cell differentiation in regenerative medicine and tissue engineering; image-guided drug therapy; nanomedicine; devices for drug delivery and drug/device combination products.
