This special issue is devoted to Nanotechnology Convergence in Africa. Its primary objectives are to provide a platform to summarize and showcase key advances in nanotechnology research in Africa and to bring into focuts crosscutting scientific, technological and societal issues associated with the development and implementation of nanotechnology-based solutions in the African contect to address critical needs, e.g., water, engery, food, and healthcare and open up new development opportunities, .e.g., manufacturing, industrialization and knowledge-based economy.
