Special Issue: Digital Organization

ISF invites submissions for a special issue on Digital Organizations. The special issue will be dedicated to publishing research articles that contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the emerging domain of digital organizations. Digital technologies are transforming the ways we organize as they lead to improved efficiency and productivity, enhanced decision-making by enabling real-time data analytics, increased sales and profitability, enhanced customer satisfaction and engagement, and greater competitive advantage. Focusing on digital organization has given rise to many new concepts and phenomena, such as automated processes, data management and warehousing, digital capabilities, and cyber security. As organizations digitally transform themselves, it becomes crucial for researchers to examine how many organizations successfully leverage digital technologies to transform processes, operations, and customer interactions. Organizations rely on various digital technologies, such as cloud based systems and mobile devices, to support remote and flexible work, create digital assets, transform payments, and other aspects of an organization.

The special issue call for papers that seeks research that examines such dynamics. Submissions may address topics related to, but not limited to:

• Digital capabilities and value innovations

• The emergence of digital platforms and the impacts of network effects

• Orchestration of digital architectures and governance models

• Digital Transformation for enhanced knowledge management capabilities

• Use of business analytics for enhanced decision-making

• Sustainability and social innovations through digital transformation

• Human emotions and sentiments in the digitized world

• Digitization and transformation of work

• Effects of digitization on jobs, incomes, and wages
