Abstract
This note is a summary of the paper "Charakterisierung einer Klasse linearer Operatoren" by W. Fleischer, published in Sitzungsberichte der Österr. Akad.Wiss., math.-naturw. Kl., 191 (1982), 157–163.
Herr Dr. W. Fleischer, Dozent an der Universität Salzburg, ist am 2. September 1982 im Alter von 41 Jahren plötzlich verstorben. Mit ihm ist ein junger, hochbegabter Mathematiker, von dem noch vieles zu erwarten gewesen wäre, dahingegangen. Diesen Vortragsauszug hat R. Tichy verfaßt.
