Abstract

It is shown how to derive difference approximations for Δu=O for a general grid, where Morera's theorem is used as the definition of analyticity.

The advantage of this derivation is that one can easily see how to compute the conjugate function v of the discrete version of u. For an arbitrary rectangular grid the derivation is carried out explicitly.
