Abstract
Around 50%of the university graduates graduated with a STEM degree. The figure has decreased slightly in recent years, down from 54% in 2001 to 50% in 2007.
STEM stands for “Science, Technology, Engineering, andMathematics”. China officially classifies subjects in tertiary education into the following disciplines: Philosophy, Economics, Law, Education, Literature, History, Science, Engineering, Agriculture, Medicine, Military and Management.
