Abstract
This chapter concerns my own journey as a professional and also my involvement with Geoffrey. I am narrating these two stories in order to contextualise the issues of uncertainty and insecurity mentioned in the previous chapter. The narrative of my involvement as an educational psychologist with Geoffrey also serves as an example of how certainty and validation of the self is searched for in professional practice.
