Abstract
On the basis of the maximum principle, we develop an asymptotic approach to achieving optimal control for nonlinear rotatory-oscillatory systems reducible to a standard form with a scalar rotating phase. Some concrete problems of the optimal control of mechanical systems are solved to a first approximation.
