In the preceding chapters we have studied the algebraic properties of the different classes of vague data and their representations. In the following we consider the topological properties of these classes by defining metric spaces. The metrics allow us to measure distances between fuzzy sets and to consider convergence notions of sequences of fuzzy sets.
