Abstract
The choice of survey approaches for vegetation survey depends on aim and means available or scale required and kind of vegetation to be mapped. Lack of aerial photography or other remote sensing means will force the surveyor to apply old-fashioned field survey methods using topographic maps as a base. Some semantic information may also help him in guiding his survey.
