Abstract
English immersion programs for young dual-language learners in China are currently offered in over 40 kindergartens serving children between the ages of three and six in various regions of China. This chapter presents best practices in dual-language teaching and learning based on current research. Further, this chapter identifies findings from the Global Guidelines Assessment tool, supported by interviews and observations in China, Canada, United States English Immersion collaborative kindergartens from 2005 until 2011.
