Abstract
This paper, Approaches to Preventing Child Abuse: The Health Visitor’s Concept, published in 1976 in the American Journal of Diseases of Children, is C. Henry Kempe’s 1975 George Armstrong Lecture. It forms the basis of the commentaries included in succeeding chapters in this section of the book.
