Abstract
Production code generation (PCG) technology has become a key component in the evolution of software development because it is practical: one may add details to designs directly on a physical model and then automatically generate the final code. PCG has done well in its early acceptance; however, further growth requires a supporting software engineering framework that integrates processes, methods, and tools.
