Riassunto

Possibile inversione dello schema di appoggio del piede al suolo con compromissione della sequenza di rotolamento. Contatto anticipato del primo raggio e suo sovraccarico associato a progressivo sfondamento della volta. L’eccessiva sollecitazione dell’arco longitudinale provoca il cedimento dell’articolazione sottoastragalica, generando, nei casi più gravi, un’eversione del piede durante la fase di appoggio con apertura dell’angolo del passo e compromissione dell’efficacia del braccio di leva (Fig. 3.1). Se è presente anche un sollevamento del calcagno (equino mascherato), compare un piede a „dondolo“. In caso di concomitante extratorsione della tibia e intratorsione del femore (da antiversione del collo femorale), si può generare al ginocchio un conflitto torsionale. Questa deformità non riveste alcun significato clinico nella fase di swing, eccetto che alla fine di essa (terminal swing), in quanto influenza la posizione del piede al contatto iniziale. I muscoli peronei, se iperattivi, possono contribuire ad accentuare la valgopronazione del piede.
