I processi degenerativi del rachide sono manifestazioni patologiche principalmente correlate all’età, alla costituzione ed all’attività del paziente e si estrinsecano con diverse modalità a livello delle articolazioni disco-vertebrali, di quelle sinoviali interapofisarie e di quelle miste sinoviali-cartilaginee uncovertebrali. Le alterazioni in tali sedi sono rappresentate dall’osteocondrosi vertebrale, dall’osteoartrosi interapofisaria e uncovertebrale e da due complicanze ad esse collegate, l’ernia del disco e la stenosi del canale vertebrale.
