Zusammenfassung

Schon das numerische Verhältnis durch phanerogamische Pflanzen und ihre Produkte erzeugter Dermatosen, besonders entzündlicher Art (Dermatitis venenata) würde ihre Behandlung in einem eigenen Kapitel der Toxicodermien rechtfertigen. Nach PUSEY hat das Bureau of Plant Industry of the United States Department of Agriculture 113 hautreizende Pflanzen in einer Liste zusammengestellt. Dazu gesellen sich aber noch eine Anzahl anderer Momente, die ihnen ein besonderes Gepräge aufdrücken (K. TOUTON [d]). Die Brücke wird geschlagen hinüber zu den medikamentösen Toxicodermien durch die aus den Pflanzen gewonnenen arzneilichen Produkte. In gewissem Sinne liegen bei ihnen die Verhältnisse einfacher, indem wir - sei es nun bei einer allgemein verbreiteten, sei es bei einer idiosynkrasisch beschränkten - Reizwirkung ziemlich bald, wenigstens den größeren chemischen Komplex, feststellen können, der dieselbe bedingt, zumal wenn es sich um eine Einwirkung von außen handelt. Komplizierter liegt bereits bezüglich des Nachweises des effektiven Reizstoffes der Fall bei den medikamentösen Toxicodermien, die durch innerenGebrauch provoziert werden und gar bei den Nahrungsmitteltoxicodermien, die ja häufig phytogener Natur sind.
