Abstract

Building on case study methods this part is an integral part of the design science approach guiding this dissertation. In the following it is explained how the case study approach feeds the design of the IT artifact. Briefly, data was complementary collected in two fundamentally different settings. First, in an early stage of the design science process the data of nine cases was collected in highly innovative organizations across various industries which have considerable experience with community innovation.
