Abstract
The development of a reconstruction plate, an articular prosthesis, and an implant abutment which fulfill requirements in terms of load-bearing capacity, functional stability, universal applicability, tissue compatibility, and problem-free removal opens up possibilities which justify their clinical application. Discoveries made in animal experiments led to continual improvements in the implants.
