Abstract
For fixed integers a, b, c the homogeneous quadratic polynomial
F = F(x, y) = ax 2 + bxy + cy 2
is called a binary quadratic form, or simply a form, and is denoted by {a, b, c}. The integer
d=b 2 -4ac
is called the discriminant of the form.
