Abstract
The book seeks to cover the entire field of renal calculous disease. The increase of knowledge available in recent years, however, has made it necessary to present the subject in abbreviated form and to omit reference to much of the known metabolic and crystallographic studies now available. Renal calculous disease is multifactorial in its etiology. The different chemical varieties of stone are often associated with a varied clinical picture and often call for different methods of surgical and non-surgical treatment.
