Abstract

The classification applies only to carcinomas of the vermilion surfaces of the lips and of the oral cavity, including those of minor salivary glands. There should be histological confirmation of the disease.The following are the procedures for assessment of the T,N and M categories:

  • T categories Physical examination and imaging

  • N categories Physical examination and imaging

  • M categories Physical examination and imaging
