Abstract
A very important aim of treatment is that the patient may eventually walk in the street again, unafraid and unnoticed by other people. To achieve this aim the patient must be trained to react against gravity in all positions, quickly and automatically. He will also need to regain some form of protective or saving reaction so that he can save himself from falling, should he lose his balance.
