Zusammenfassung
Mit der Einführung der mikrochirurgischen Operationstechnik durch Jacobson und Suarez [11] vor über fünf Jahrzehnten und den ersten klinischen Anwendungen dieser Methoden durch Horn [10] sowie Kleinert und Kasdan [13] begann eine neue Ära in der rekonstruktiven Chirurgie. Die ersten Berichte über experimentelle Replantationen kamen 1965 und 1966 von Buncke et al. [1, 2], die abgetrennte Kaninchenohren wieder annähten und Fingerreplantationen bei Rhesusaffen ausführten. Über erfolgreiche freie Gewebetransfers mit mikrovaskulärem Anschluss im Tierexperiment berichteten Krizek et al. [20] im Jahr 1965 sowie Strauch und Murray [33] im Jahr 1967.
