Abstract

In clinical research, comparison of one measurement technique with another is often needed to see whether they agree sufficiently for the new to replace the old. Such investigations are often analysed inappropriately, notably by using correlation coefficients, which could be misleading. This chapter describes alternatives based on graphical techniques that quantify disagreement as well as the concept of intraclass correlation.
