Abstract

A clinician must fully understand the normal physiology of balance in order to identify a pathological factor. It has often been said that physiology is the mother of medicine and surgery. Its altered form is pathology. Therefore, we must fully comprehend the factors responsible for maintaining the posture and balance. Only then can we understand the factors that may be responsible for the dizziness that our patients may present with.
