Abstract

Noninvasive imaging of the vessels is nowadays reality. Advantages such as noninvasiveness, excellent soft tissue contrast, accuracy, and reproducibility have contributed to its acceptance, and recent developments in CT and MR techniques enable to identify the pathology of central and peripheral vessels with an exquisite level of detail.

This chapter will discuss the capabilities and application of advanced imaging technologies in the assessment and characterization of the pathology that affects the central and peripheral vessels. Technical requirements, such as hardware, software, and sequence considerations, will be discussed as well as the potentialities, limits, and pitfalls.

Prediction is very difficult especially about the future
