Abstract
In this short survey, important issues of quantum physics, in particular those being responsible for its counter-intuitive aspects, are put into a general context. Special emphasis is put on the collapse of the wave function, decoherence phenomena and non-locality in single-particle quantum physics. Non-locality is discussed in connection with field quantization.
