Zusammenfassung

Unter dem Begriff „nichtmedizinische Anwendung“ wird hier der Einsatz von Biofeedback und Neurofeedback (im Folgenden kurz: Biofeedback) ohne Vorgabe oder Festlegung einer medizinischen Indikation verstanden. Die Anwendungsgebiete lassen sich dabei in die folgenden Kategorien aufteilen, zumindest nach der momentan üblichen Verwendung: Wellness, Psychoedukation, Prävention und Peak Performance.
