Abstract

Chaos is unpredictable and seems to be out of control by a small external force once the system is trapped to an unstable orbit. In spite of that, chaos is controllable by a very small force based on mathematical basis. However, it is very difficult to apply the method to real experiments. Without loosing the essence of the chaos control, several modified chaos control methods applicable to real experimental systems are proposed. The applications of chaos control to chaotic semiconductor lasers are treated in this chapter.
