Abstract

History: Two months ago, patient had severe back pain. One month ago, an x-ray revealed age-indeterminate anterior wedge compression fractures of the T3–T5 vertebral bodies and a moderate compression deformity of the L1 vertebral body. She was treated with corticosteroids for the pain. Labs demonstrated IgG lambda multiple myeloma: IgA (<15 mg/dL), IgM (27 mg/dL), IgG (2,979 mg/dL), kappa (7.1 mg/L), lambda (133 mg/L), kappa/lambda ratio 0.05.
