Eine umfassende Darstellung des Lipidstoffwechsels ist nicht Zielsetzung dieses Buches. Es wird im Folgenden nur auf generelle Aspekte der Lipidanalytik im Rahmen der Routineanwendung bei diabetologischen und endokrinologischen Patienten eingegangen. Für Spezialparameter und eine detailliertere Darstellung sei auf bekannte Standardwerke der Lipidologie verwiesen [1].
