Zusammenfassung

Jeder Atemzyklus besteht aus Inspiration und Exspiration. Der entscheidende Unterschied zwischen der natürlichen Spontanatmung und der maschinellen Beatmung besteht darin, wie die Inspiration, also das Einströmen von Luft oder Atemgas in die Lunge, erreicht wird (◉ Abb. 12.1).
