Abstract
Web services architecture enables the creation of larger composite services from simpler services. The providers of composite Web services with predefined composition plan involving different composition (flow or workflow) patterns, dynamically select the candidate Web services for each task of the composition plan. This research paper describes the mechanism Global QoS Composition for QoS aware selection and composition of Web services to satisfy the requester’s end-to-end QoS requirements. To realize this semi-dynamic composition mechanism, the paper proposes a data structure called Dynamic Pattern List (DPL) to represent the composition plan involving various patterns, tasks and candidate Web services. In order to assist the provider of composite Web service towards QoS publishing, the paper proposes a scheme to estimate the end-to-end QoS of composite Web service based on the requirements defined on multiple QoS properties.
