Zusammenfassung

Die Interpersonelle Psychotherapie (IPT) sieht in zwischenmenschlichen Problemen einen wesentlichen Einfluss auf die Entstehung psychischer Störungen. Sie ist als fokussierte, halbstrukturierte und zeitlich begrenzte Kurzzeittherapie konzipiert und bedient sich in pragmatischer Weise unterschiedlicher therapeutischer Methoden. Die IPT wurde gezielt zur ambulanten Behandlung akuter unipolarer depressiver Episoden entwickelt, mittlerweile stehen aber Modifikationen für zahlreiche psychische Krankheitsbilder zur Verfügung.
