Abstract

When a company has decided that a product – a final product, a semifinished product or a raw material – or a service should be sourced from a foreign country, it has to select a suitable operation mode. There is a wide range of options to choose from. In this chapter the different operation modes are described and then a number of tools are presented which can help companies to choose between them.
