Abstract

We present a first version of an algorithm producing autonomously responses in wireless sensor networks in order to mitigate detected malfunction and misbehavior. We were inspired by the low level mechanisms for response conformation, the degenerate behavior of receptors, of T-cells in the human immune system. The proposed algorithm uses a co-stimulatory feedback in order to adapt to changing conditions, thus enabling the system to choose a different response when appropriate. We evaluate the algorithm on a simulation model in OMNet++ and demonstrate its applicability for wireless sensor networks.
