Der Begriff der Stabilität wird im alltäglichen und im technischen Sprachgebrauch vielfältig verwendet. Man muss daher stets genau angeben, um welches spezielle Stabilitätsproblem es sich im konkreten Fall handelt. Wir beschäftigen uns in diesem Kapitel ausschließlich mit der statischen Stabilität elastischer Tragwerke.
