Abstract
Basic properties of 3d transition-metal pnictides and chalcogenides are presented. After describing the sintering method to prepare polycrystalline sample, the crystal structures of the NiAs-, MnP-, and Cu2Sb-type structures are shown. Phase diagram of typical MX-type compound is also shown.
