Abstract
Nowadays it is widely accepted that the implementation of computer applications could establish better possibilities for equal participation in education for those groups of the population that previously felt excluded. The aim of this paper is to propose the localization of existing educational software as an alternative way to facilitate integration of deaf children attending the same classes with hearing ones. We suggest the adaptation of software to the needs of this target group with the incorporation of video in Greek Sign Language (GSL), in order to cover the lack of special instructional material, to strengthen the reading ability of deaf children and, finally, provide equal opportunities for all pupils.
