Abstract

In this chapter, we introduce a motivating case study from e-government. We will illustrate the methodology for the systematic design and realization of security-critical inter-organizational workflows with a portion of a workflow-scenario drawn from the e-government use case “Municipal Tax Collection”. The case was elaborated within the project Sectino, a joint research project between the research group Quality Engineering at the University of Innsbruck and the Austrian Research Centre Seibersdorf Research GmbH. The case will serve as a running example throughout Part II.
