Abstract
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is now a widely validated technique for the evaluation of pelvic diseases in both men and women. Compared with other techniques such as ultrasound and computed tomography (CT), MRI offers superior image contrast between soft tissues, thus enabling better tissue and disease characterization in the pelvis.
