Abstract

Dieser Artikel erklärt das Forschungsgebiet Informationsarchitektur als ein Schlüsselgebiet für die Wissensgesellschaft. Zu Beginn wird ein Einblick in die Geschichte der Informationsarchitektur gegeben. Aus einer historischen Perspektive wird dann der Begriff definiert und mit Beispielen erläutert. Danach wird das Gebiet von den verwandten Forschungsfeldern Informationsdesign, Information Visualization und Knowledge Visualization abgegrenzt. Abschließend werden Hinweise für die Umsetzung gegeben.
