Abstract
Proteomics is the branch of the biological sciences which deals with proteins. Proteins are basic constructional blocks and functional elements of living organisms. They are involved in all processes occurring in cells and tissues and therefore are linked to each other by numerous interactions. Proteomics can be viewed as the study of properties, interactions, and functions of proteins.
