Abstract
Nasal cavities are supplied by terminal branches of the external (ECA) and internal (ICA) carotid arteries. The vessels originiating from ECA are branches of the facial artery and the internal maxillary artery (IMA). The superior labial artery, from the facial artery, enters the nose laterally to the anterior nasal spine and supplies the anterior nasal septum. The sphenopalatine artery (SPA) and the descending palatine artery (DPA), originating from the IMA, enter the nasal cavities, respectively, through the sphenopalatine foramen and the incisive foramen. The SPA supplies the nasal septum with the septal branch and the middle and inferior turbinates with its nasal branches. The DPA supplies the anterior nasal septum.
