Abstract

The internal carotid artery supplies the anterior part of the brain and the eye, and sends branches to the forehead and nose. According to the latest classifications, it can be divided intoseven segments: cervical, petrous, lacerum, cavernous, clinoid, ophthalmic, and communicating.
