Zusammenfassung
Pfadabhängigkeiten scheinen allgegenwärtig. Nahezu jede Erscheinung, in der „history matters“ zur Begründung der Wandelunfähigkeit erkoren wird, erhält das Label „Pfadabhängigkeit“. Dass „Path-Dependence“ hierdurch nicht selten zur simplen „Past-Dependence“ (Antonelli 1999) degradiert und die originäre Theoriekonzeption gänzlich ins Abseits der Diskussion gestellt wird, das wird schon lang moniert (vgl. z.B. Mahoney 2000, 507; David 2001, 20 f; Ackermann 2003, 228; Schreyögg et al. 2003, 271) und ebenso lang ignoriert (vgl. etwa Teece et al. 1997, 522 f; Bogner/Barr 2000, 213; Locket/Thompson 2001, 724).
