Lately, China’s tourism has been grown into one of the world’s largest and most important tourism markets. The World Tourism Organisation (2000: 12, 77) predicted that by the year 2020, China would become the world’s number one tourist destination and the fourth largest tourist generating country with 100 million outbound tourists. However, according to China Tourism Academy, more than 70 million Chinese visitors travelled abroad in 2011, rising 22% compared with 2010.25 China is already expected to be the top outbound tourism source market in the years to come.
